A Bangladesh national and two Indians were killed in an explosion of a gas cylinder in Saudi Arabian capital Riyadh.
The Bangladeshi victim was identified as Asadullah, 22, hailed from Madarganj in Jamalpur.
Asad’s uncle Habibur Rahman, who is also an expatriate in Saudi Arabia, told the news agency on Wednesday that his nephew died on the spot when the cylinder exploded at their rented house in Sanaiya area on Saturday morning.
Asad came to Saudi Arabia four years ago. He was working at a power cable plant in Jadid Sanaiya, Habibur said.
Rahmat Ullah, a Bangladeshi worker at the factory, said Asad’s body was kept in the mortuary of a hospital in Riyadh.
Labour Counsellor Sarwar Alam at the Bangladesh Embassy in Riyadh said they were contacting Asad’s family in Bangladesh to decide whether to send back his body to Bangladesh or arrange his burial in Saudi Arabia, reports bdnews24.com.
