Nomination papers of BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia for contesting in the 11th parliamentary election from Feni-1, Bogura-6 and Bogura-7 constituencies were rejected on Sunday after scrutiny.
Returning officers gave the decisions due to her conviction in two corruption cases, reports UNB.
In Feni, Returning Officer Md Wahiduzzaman turned down the nomination papers of Khaleda and three others in the constituency.
In Bagura, Returning Officer Foyez Ahmed rejected the nomination papers of the BNP Chairperson from the Bagura-6 and Bagura-7 constituencies in the afternoon.
