The offices of government, semi-government, autonomous and semi-autonomous institutions will remain open from 9:00am to 3:30pm on every working day during the upcoming holy month of Ramadan.
The government on Monday fixed the new office timing at a meeting, held with the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the chair at the Prime Minister's Office in the city, said Cabinet Secretary Mohammad Shafiul Alam at a briefing after the meeting.
The Cabinet Secretary said there will be a 15-minute break from 1:15pm to 1:30pm for Zohr prayer. The new timing will be effective for all the government, semi-government, autonomous and semi-autonomous institutions, he said.
Shafiul Alam said the Supreme Court, hospitals, banks, insurance agencies, emergency services providing organisations will fix up their own office timings, reports UNB.
