Rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at one or two places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Khulna, Chittagong and Sylhet divisions and the region of Comilla in 24 hours ending at 9 am Friday.
Weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country while day temperature may rise slightly with a fall in night temperature during the period, said a met office press release in Dhaka on Thursday.
Trough of Westerly low lies over Bihar and adjoining area, the release also said, adding that seasonal low lies over South Bay.
The maximum temperature was recorded 36.8 degrees Celsius on Wednesday at Jessore in Khulna division and Thursday's minimum temperature 18.3 degrees Celsius at Tetulia region in Rangpur division, reports BSS.
The sunsets at 6:07 pm on Thursday and rises at 6:07 am Friday in Dhaka.
