Rain or thundershowers, accompanied by a temporary gusty wind, is likely to occur in most parts of the country on Sunday, according to a met office bulletin issued on Sunday morning.
The weather forecast is valid for 24 hours commencing 9:00am today (Sunday).
Sitakunda and Srimangal separately recorded the lowest 11.2 degree Celsius on Sunday morning, it said.
Trough of westerly low lies over West Bengal and the adjoining areas, it said, adding that seasonal low lies over the South Bay.
Light to moderate fog may occur at places over the country during midnight to morning, as per the bulletin.
Night temperature may remain nearly unchanged while the day temperature may fall by (2-3)°C over the country, it stated.
In its 72-hour forecast, the met bulletin said night temperature may fall and rain may decrease at the end period.
