Several places in the country are likely to witness rain commencing from 9:00 am in the next 24 hours, the met office said in a forecast.
Rain/thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty/squally wind is likely to occur at one or two places over Rangpur, Mymensingh, and Sylhet divisions, the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) said in the forecast on Thursday.
The weather may remain dry with a temporary partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country, it stated.
Trough of westerly low lies over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and adjoining area, it said, adding that seasonal low lies over South Bay.
Day and night temperatures may rise slightly over the country, it said.
In its outlook for the next 72 hours, it said little change.
