Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested six alleged muggers from Jatrabari area in the city on Wednesday evening.
Based on secret information, a team of Rab-10 battalion conducted a drive around 6pm and arrested the 'snatchers'.
The arrestees are Abu Sayeed, 25, Sohel, 19, Sumon Sheikh, 28, Jakir Hossain, 38, Shamim, 19, and Md Sumon, 23.
The elite force also recovered five knives, 10 blades and one mobile phone from their possession.
During preliminary interrogation, the arrestees revealed that they had long been involved in snatching in Jatrabari, Sayedabad, Doyagonj and adjacent areas, reports UNB.
