Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB), in an anti-narcotics drive at Geneva camp in Mohammadpur in the capital, detained around 100 people along with various types of drugs on Saturday.
RAB-2 battalion along with other units, including RAB Intelligence wing and dog squad, started raiding the Geneva camp around 10:30 am and the drive continued it till 12:40pm, said Mufti Mahmood Khan, Legal and Media Wing Director of RAB.
During the drive, the elite force members seized a huge quantity of Yaba pills, hemp and other drugs, according to a UNB report.
The exact number of the arrestees and the quantity of illegal drugs would be ascertained later, the official said.
