National Professor and noted educationist Dr Jamilur Reza Choudhury was laid to eternal rest at the Banani graveyard in Dhaka following Namaz-e-Janaza at Dhanmondi Eidgah Mosque premises after Zohr prayers on Tuesday.
Prof Jamilur Reza, a former adviser to a caretaker government, died of a heart attack early hours of Tuesday at his Dhanmondi residence in Dhaka at the age of 77.
According to BSS, he was the founding vice-chancellor (VC) of BRAC University and was also working as the VC of the University of Asia Pacific.
Ekushey Padak winner Prof Choudhury was an eminent civil engineer, who graduated from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET).
