President, PM to visit Tungipara Saturday

President Md Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will visit Tungipara of Gopalganj on Saturday.

They will pay homage to the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman through placing wreaths at his mausoleum on the occasion of his 99th birthday and the National Children's Day.

Prime Minister is scheduled to go to Tungipara after placing wreaths at the portrait of Bangabandhu in front of Bangabandhu Memorial Museum at Dhanmondi in the capital.

President Hamid will be received by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at Bangabandhu's mausoleum premises in Tungipara of Gopalganj,

President and Prime Minister will place wreaths at the mausoleum of at Tungipara in the morning.

They will offer Fateha and special munajat there seeking eternal peace of the departed soul of Bangabandhu and other family members brutally killed on the fateful night on August 15 in 1975.

The President will sign the visitor's book kept on the mausoleum premises.

The birthday of Bangabandhu is being observed across the country as the National Children's Day.

The Prime Minister will release a commemorative postage stamp on Sheikh Russel, the youngest son of Bangabandhu, and unveil the cover of a children book titled "Amader Chhoto Russel Sona".

Sheikh Hasina will address a children's rally, discussion meeting and cultural function and distribute sewing machines among the distressed at mausoleum premises.

According to BSS, the Prime Minister will open a book fair and visit a painting exhibition of the children titled "Amar Bhabnai 7th March".
