President offers Eid prayers with thousands of Muslims
Thousands of Muslims of all classes of the society, ages and professions joined the main Jamaat (congregation) of Holy Eid-ul-Azha at the National Eidgah adjacent to the Old High Court and the Supreme Court in the capital on Wednesday morning.

Eid-ul-Azha, the second largest religious festival of Muslims, is being observed with religious fervour and solemnity across Bangladesh today.
The Meteorological Department had forecast chances of rain on Wednesday, but the cloudy skies restrained themselves on Eid morning, allowing prayer services continue unhindered.
President Md Abdul Hamid, Supreme Court judges, members of the cabinet, members of parliament, top government officials, politicians, educationists, professionals and people from all walks of life took part at the Eidgah service at 8am.

There was a separate arrangement for women to offer their Eid prayers at the vast Eidgah (prayer ground).

The prayer service was led by Baitul Mukarram National Mosque Pesh Imam Mufti Maulana Muhammad Ehsanul Haque.

After the Jamaat, he led a prayer for the peace and prosperity of people in Bangladesh, Muslim Ummah and across the globe.
