President Md Abdul Hamid on Saturday gave assent to the bill titled "Appointment of the Chief Election Commissioner and Election Commissioners Bill-2022".
The bill was passed in the first session of 2022 of 11th Jatiya Sangsad (JS), reports BSS.
According to an official handout issued on Saturday, the next election commission will be formed in accordance with the new law.
