President Abdul Hamid on Monday assented to 11 bills passed in the 22nd session of the current parliament.
The bills assented by the President are the Dowry Prohibition Bill, 2018; National Skill Development Authority Bill 2018; Agricultural Marketing Bill, 2018, Fertiliser (Management) (Amendment) Bill 2018 and Bangladesh Agriculture Development Corporation Bill, 2018.
The six other bills are the Textile Bill, 2018; Sylhet Medical College Bill 2018; Barind Multipurpose Development Authority (BMDA) Bill, 2018; National Academy for Planning and Development Bill 2018, Hindu Religious Welfare Trust Bill 2018 and Bangladesh Employees Welfare Board (Amendment) Bill 2018, reports UNB citing a Parliament Secretariat handout.
The 22nd session of the 10th parliament was prorogued on September 20 last, which passed a total of 18 bills, including the Digital Security Bill 2018 and the Road Transport Bill 2018.
