Secretary of Election Commission (EC) secretariat Helal Uddin Ahmed has said the schedule of 11th Jatiya Sangsad election will be announced in late October.
He told reporters after a meeting on law and order ahead of the Basail municipality polls in the district on Saturday.
Ahmed said though Basail is a small municipality, the EC put similar importance to every election.
View-exchange meetings have been held with law enforcement agencies to hold upcoming election including Basail municipality and city corporation polls in a free, fair, neutral and peaceful manner, he added.
