Two hurt in crude bomb attack on AL election office

Two local Awami League leaders were injured as miscreants blew off a crude bomb in front of AL's election campaign office at Rohanpur in Chapainawabganj on Friday night.

The injured are - Rohonpur Municipal Awami League 3 no ward vice presidents Adar Ali and Sabbir Rahman Rony.

Witnesses said that two miscreants riding on a motorcycle came in front of the office of AL candidate Ziaur Rahman at around 8:00pm and hurled the crude bomb, leaving the duo injured.

Perpetrators also detonated a crude bomb in College Intersection area under Gomostapur upazila at night.

The injured were admitted to Rohanpur upazila health complex, UNB reported.

On information, assistant returning officer and upazila nirbahi officer Shihab Raihan, additional superintendent Jahidur Rahman of Gomostapur circle police and officer-in-charge of Jasim Uddin of Gomostapur Police Station visited the spot.
