Awami League Acting General Secretary Mahbubul Alam Hanif has said the activities of BNP prove that the split of the party is now a matter of time.
“The activities of BNP leaders prove that they are clearly separated. The breakage of the party is a matter of time,” he said.
The AL’s senior leader said this while addressing a rally, organised by Jatiya Sramik League, at Awami League Bangabandhu Avenue office in Dhaka on Wednesday, marking the historic May Day.
He said four elected MPs of BNP joined the parliament but its secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir did not join the House, which reveals that breakage of BNP is for sure.
“Mirza Fakhrul claims that his decision, not to join the parliament, is a political tactic. But, I would say it is an ill-tactic,” the AL spokesman said, adding that applying such ill-tactic, the BNP secretary general could not avoid the split of the party.
Mahbubul Alam Hanif was present at the rally as the chief guest while senior AL leaders spoke at the occasion with Jatiya Sramik League president Shukkur Mahmud in the chair.
