Relatives of BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia failed to meet her on Saturday due to her illness.
After getting permission from the jail authorities five relatives of Khaleda entered the jail around 4pm.
But they came out of the jail about 45 minutes later without meeting Khaleda.
"We have come to know Khaleda Zia is suffering from fever and body aches. So, she couldn't meet us as she was unable to come down to the guestroom from the 1st floor," Khaleda's sister Selina Islam told journalists at the gate of Old Dhaka Central Jail.
Khaleda's relatives last met her on June 30, reports UNB.
Earlier on Wednesday, BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir at a press conference alleged that the jail authorities were not allowing Khaleda's relatives and party leaders to meet her with an ulterior motive.
