Maritime ports asked to hoist signal no 3

The Meteorological Department has issued a local cautionary signal No. 3 on maritime ports of Chittagong, Cox's Bazar, Mongla and Payra as a deep convection taking place over the northern Bay.

 

Squally weather may affect the maritime ports, North Bay and adjoining coastal areas of Bangladesh, said a special bulletin of Met office.

 

All fishing boats and trawlers over North Bay have been advised to remain close to the coast and proceed with caution until further notice, reports UNB.
