Finance Minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith on Monday said that he will take part in the next general polls if Awami League wants.
"In my electoral seat Khaleda Zia or Ershad may participate in the next general election, I feel Ershad is a more eligible candidate than Khaleda because some development works were carried out in Sylhet during Ershad's regime", he said.
Talking to the reporters at the secretariat the minister came up with these remarks, reports UNB.
He said "Personally, I have no intention of taking part in the upcoming polls but if the party wants, I will participate."
"I may participate in the polls, if the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina so desires", Muhith concluded.
