BNP's vice-chariman Enam Ahmed Chaudhury, who sought nomination of BNP from Sylhet-1 constituency, has joined the Awami League.
Chaudhury met Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and greeted her with a bouquet of flowers on Wednesday night, said PM's deputy press secretary Ashraful Alam Khokon, reports bdnews24.com.
"He stressed the faith he has in her leadership," Khokon said.
The former bureaucrat, also the former chairman of the Privatisation Commission, was named in the primary list of BNP nominees for Sylhet-1 constituency, but was later left out.
