Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader today extended Eid greetings to the country people and all Muslims across the world wishing that the festival would forge strong bonding among the people in overcoming all crises including the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.
“On the holy Eid-ul-Fitr, I am wishing the world’s recovery from the coronavirus crisis and sound health of the people, continuous peace progress and prosperity of the nation,” he told a regular press conference at his official residence in Dhaka, reports BSS.
Quader, also Awami League General Secretary, wished the Eid-ul-Fitr would tie the people with the bond of friendship and harmony.
He called upon the people to celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr following health safety guidelines and maintaining social distancing.
The minister hoped Bangladesh would overcome the coronavirus crisis to achieve its cherished goal of progress and prosperity under the prudent leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina as the country did in the past.
He also conveyed his heartfelt thanks and Eid greetings to those who are frontline fighters in the coronavirus crisis and serving the people even during the festival staying away from their kith and kin.
The AL general secretary urged all irrespective of opinion and party affiliation to be united with the courage to resist the coronavirus crisis.
