BCL expels three Barishal unit leaders

The Bangladesh Chhatra League expelled three of its leaders on Wednesday for their alleged involvement in vandalism and obstruction of government work.

Those who have been expelled are – Chhatra League’s Government Gournadi College unit President Sakhawat Hossain Sujon, the unit’s former vice-president Sumon Molla Mahmud and municipality unit leader Milon Khalifa, UNB reported.

The decision was announced in a media statement signed by the student front’s Barishal district unit chief Hemayet Uddin Serniabat and General Secretary Abdur Razzak early Wednesday.

On Sunday, nine people, including two pedestrians, were injured in a turf war between two factions of Chhatra League on the campus.
