Police recovered the throat-slit bodies of a retired army man and his elderly mother from their house at Maheshpur village in Ullapara upazila of Sirajganj on Thursday.
The deceased were identified as Altaf Hossain, 65, and Rizia Khatun, 95, reports UNB.
Dewan Kaushik Ahmed, officer-in-charge of Ullapara Police Station, said locals spotted the bodies inside the house in the morning and informed police.
On information, police recovered the bodies and sent them to a local hospital for autopsy.
Miscreants might have killed them during the night, said police.
The motive behind the killing could not be known yet.
