A beetle leaf trader was found dead in beetle leaf field at Pardakhalpur village in Harinakundu upazila of Jhenaidah on Thursday.
The deceased was identified as Nur Islam, 32, son of Akbar Ali of the village, reports UNB.
Local people spotted the body of Nur Islam and informed the matter to police in the evening.
Police recovered the body and sent it to sadar hospital morgue for an autopsy, said Tarek Al Mehedi, additional superintendent of Jhenaidah Police.
Police suspected that miscreants might have killed him over previous enmity.
