PM to unveil 47 dev projects in Khulna Saturday

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is expected to inaugurate 47 development projects and lay foundation stones of 52 projects in Khulna city and district during her visit there on Saturday.

According to the schedule, the PM will attend the convention of Engineering Institute of Bangladesh (IEB) on its Khalishpur office premises.

The premier will also join a public meeting on circuit house ground premises in the city as the chief guest, reports BSS.

Amin-ul-Ahsan, deputy commissioner of Khulna, said the PM would inaugurate 47 completed development projects and unveil stones of 52 schemes before her speech at the grand rally.

"The 47 development projects have been taken as well as completed during Sheikh Hasina led government's tenure in the last nine years," he said.

Khulna Road and Highways, Education Engineering Department, Public and Works Division, LGED, University of Engineering and Technology, Khulna, Bangladesh Railway, District Sports Association, Zilla Parishad, Khulna University and Khulna WASA have implemented the 47 projects in the last nine years, the deputy commissioner added.
