Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina paid a courtesy call on President M Abdul Hamid at his office in the parliament complex in Dhaka on Wednesday evening.
“During the meeting, the prime minister (PM) discussed different state-level issues, specially the pragmatic steps undertaken by the incumbent government to develop the country’s socio-economic condition,” President’s press secretary Joynal Abedin said.
President Hamid thanked the Head of the government for uncovering his book “Amar Jibanniti, Amar Rajniti (My Principle of Life, My Politics)” on the occasion of the Ekushey Book Fair, reports BSS.
The president and prime minister enquired each other about their health, the Bangabhaban spokesman added.
Secretaries concerned with the Bangabhaban were present in the hour-long meeting.
