A meeting of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Memorial Trust was held at the Bangabandhu Bhaban at Dhanmondi area in Dhaka on Friday.
Chairperson of the trust and Bangabandhu's elder daughter Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina presided over the meeting, reports UNB.
"The meeting reviewed the social welfare activities of the trust and decided to carry forward its different projects faster," PM's Assistant Press Secretary Asif Kabir said.
The meeting also reviewed the progress of the decisions taken earlier, he said.
Asif Kabir said sub-committee reports on different issues were placed at the meeting.
Members of the trustee board, including Sheikh Helal Uddin MP, and Noor-e-Alam Liton Chowdhury MP, and Member Secretary Sheikh Hafizur Rahman were present on the occasion.
The trustee board was constituted with the family members of the Father of the Nation.
Prime Minister and Chairperson of the trust Sheikh Hasina also presided over a meeting of the Managing Committee of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Memorial Trust.
The meeting discussed the maintenance of Bangabandhu Memorial Museum, the PM's assistant press secretary said.
Members of the managing committee, including Major General (retd) Abdul Hafiz Mallik, were present.
