The Philippines has decided to lift a coronavirus ban on travellers from Bangladesh and nine other countries.

The ban, introduced in April then expanded to more countries in July to prevent the spread of the more contagious Delta variant, will be lifted on Monday.

A spokesperson of the country gave the information about the decision taken by Philippines President Rodrigo Duterte a statement on Saturday, reports Reuters.

According to the decision, travellers from Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Nepal, the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia will have to spend 14 days in quarantine upon arrival.
