Over 300,000 posts are lying vacant with different ministries, said State Minister for Public Administration Ismat Ara Sadique on Monday.
"Yes, necessary steps have been taken to fill up the vacant posts," she said.
The state minister said it at the parliament while responding to a starred question from treasury bench member Md Morshed Alam(Noakhali-2) on behalf of Public Administration Minister Syed Ashraful Islam, reports BSS.
Ismat Ara, while replying another lawmaker’s question, said of the total number vacant posts, 48,246 are class one (grade 1-9) officers, 54294 are class two (grade10-12), 182737 are class three (Grade13-17) and 73984 are class four (Grade 18-20).
Public Administration Minister Syed Ashraful Islam told Md Rustam Ali Farazi (Pirojepur-3) that the government has no plan for raising the age of entering government job to 35.
