No Bangladeshis were killed or injured in the shooting spree at a Florida high school, said Atiquer Rahman, executive vice president at the Association of Bi-National Chambers of Commerce in Florida.
Nikolaus Cruz, a 19-year-old, opened fire at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland killing 17 people and injuring more than a dozen on Wednesday.
Cruz had once been expelled from the school for disciplinary reasons.
Parkland is a placid, middle-class community about 72km north of Miami.
“The area accommodates mostly white people. Bangladeshis do not reside there. The perpetrator, Nikolaus, is also a white,” Rahman said, reports bdnews24, citing police.
