Police recovered the body of a newborn baby from a pond adjacent to Marie Stopes clinic at Palashpool area of Satkhira district on Sunday morning.
Maruf Ahmed, officer-in-charge (OC) of the Satkhira Model station, said locals informed police as they came to notice the floating body, wrapped in a banana leaf, near a pond this morning.
Police rushed to the spot at about 9:30am and recovered the body; according to a media report.
