Newly appointed Nepalese Ambassador to Bangladesh Dr Chop Lal Bhushal on Wednesday met Foreign Minister AH Mahmood Ali at foreign ministry in Dhaka.
Welcoming the new Nepalese envoy to Dhaka, the foreign minister expressed the hope that the envoy will make efforts to further strengthen the existing friendly and cordial relations between Bangladesh and Nepal, reports UNB.
The Ambassador briefed the Foreign Minister about the recent political developments in Nepal.
During the discussion, the Foreign Ministry said, they stressed on deepening bilateral cooperation in the areas of trade and investment, connectivity, agriculture, power sector cooperation, people-to-people contact, etc.
Besides, they discussed regional and international issues of mutual interest.
Mahmood Ali assured the Nepalese envoy of fullest cooperation in discharging duties during his tenure in Bangladesh.
