Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has pondered Khaleda Zia’s current situation while accusing her of unleashing arson attacks and violence over a period of three years from 2013 to 2015.
"Where is she today? The Throne of the Almighty Allah gets shaken when one indulges in repressive acts toward the people. Those who burnt people to death, they have to face natural justice. Such justice is taking place," she said while addressing a rally at Bangabandhu Udyan in Barisal on Thursday.
The premier said Khaleda Zia took position in her office in 2015 and declared that she would not return home until the fall of Awami League government.
She burnt some 3,500 cars and burnt 500 people to death and injured more than 3,000 people in 2013, 2014 and 2015, alleged the PM, reports UNB.
Noting that the country sees development when Awami League comes in power, Sheikh Hasina urged the people to vote Awami League and AL-led alliance to keep the continuation of the development trend of the country.
"Election will be held in December 2018. In the election, there will be my earnest appeal to you to make Awami League candidates winners voting 'boat' symbol and to keep the development trend continued," she said.
Sheikh Hasina said Awami League government developed the country on a massive scale as the people voted the party to power. "We took Bangladesh to the path of development in the last nine years. The trend will have to be kept continued. I want your promise," she added.
