The weather department has predicted more rains across the country in the next 24 hours.
“Light to moderate rains or thunder showers accompanied by temporary gusty winds and lightning flashes are likely to occur at a few places over Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions, and at one or two places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka and Mymensingh divisions,” the department said in its bulletin on Friday.
Day temperature may rise slightly over the northern parts of the country and it may remain nearly unchanged elsewhere over the country. Night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country, reports UNB.
Besides, a low pressure area is likely to form over the central Bay of Bengal in the next three days, it added.
The weather office recorded the highest 39 mm of rainfall in Sreemangal of Sylhet division till 6am on Friday.
The mercury reached 35.5 degrees Celsius – the highest – in Chuadanga of Khulna division, while the minimum temperature was recorded at 19.7 degrees in Tetulia of Rangpur division.
Meanwhile, monsoon is less active over Bangladesh and weak over the North Bay, as per the bulletin.
