The country's mobile internet users increased by three million in a month, according to Bangladesh Telecommunication and Regulatory Commission (BTRC) data.
The data released on Sunday shows that the number of mobile internet users rose from 103.19 million in February to 106.33 million in March.
The growth of internet subscribers in the country slowed down earlier this year but turned around in a month.
From January to February, the number of internet users in the country increased only by two thousand.
According to BTRC, the total number of internet users in the country was 116.14 million in March which was 112.71 million in February, suggesting that the number of broadband internet users increased significantly too.
On the other hand, the teledensity of the country increased by 2.99 per cent; compared to February, the teledensity increased by 102.89 per cent in March.
According to the BTRC, the total number of mobile SIM users in the country till March this year was 174.63. Compared to the month of February, the number of mobile SIM users increased by 1.27 million in March.
Of these, 87.50 million are Grameenphone users, 51.94 million Robi, 36.25 million Banglalink, and 5.69 million Teletalk users.
In terms of mobile SIM subscriber growth, the growth rate of mobile SIM subscribers is lower in February-March compared to January-February.
