Missing bank official Shamim Ahmed returned home after five days of alleged abduction.
Shamim's wife Shilpi Ahmed informed Paltan Police Station on Monday night about her husband’s return, according to OC Mahmudul Haq.
But she did not mention where he was and how he was rescued. Shilpi refused to speak on the matter to when contacted, reports bdnews24.com.
Earlier, Shipli had filed a general diary with the police station saying Shamim was picked up in front of Khana Basmati restaurant in Purana Paltan on Aug 23 and driven away by microbus. His mobile phone had since been switched off.
Shamim Ahmed, assistant vice-president of corporate communications and branding for IFIC Bank, lives in Narayanganj.
