Speaking at an inaugural programme of a handwashing basin at Hatirjheel through skype, the BNP leader also said, “A serious mismanagement is everywhere due to the government’s negligence and ignorance. They still don’t know how to tackle the current situation.”

Fakhrul said people in different districts are also getting infected with the coronavirus, but there are no sufficient testing centres and doctors there. “A terrifying and inhuman situation is prevailing in the country. We're urging all to get united to overcome such a situation.”

He called upon people of all walks of life to stand by the destitute and the poor as per their ability.

Fakhrul said BNP acting secretary general Tanique Rahman urged their party leaders and activists to work unitedly to ease the sufferings of people and control the spread of the coronavirus.
