A union parishad chairman was chopped to death in an attack by some miscreants at Narail’s Dighlia union parishad premises on Thursday noon.
The deceased was identified as Sheikh Latifur Rahman Polash, of Lohagara upazila, a news agency reported.
Monirul Islam, the Officer-in-charge of Lohagara police station, said some unidentified assailants attacked Polash at noon and chopped and shot him to death.
‘Police are looking the motive behind the killing’, the OC said.
