A three-year-old girl has been found dead in Mohammadpur upazila of Magura, police said on Tuesday.
The deceased was identified as Hira Khatun, daughter of Hiru Molla of the upazila, reports UNB.
Hira’s father spotted the body near his house in Bethulia village of the upazila on Monday evening and informed police, said Magura additional SP (crime) Md Kalimullah.
The child might have been hacked to death over an old enmity with his father, he added.
A case has been filed at Mohammadpur police station in this regard.
The body was sent to the Magura Sadar Hospital morgue autopsy, the officer added.
