The Ministry of Fisheries and Livestock has extended its support to sell poultry products worth over Tk 1.76 billion.
The poultry farmers across the country sold some 13 million litres of milk, about 55.2 million eggs and over 6.6 million poultry birds from April 25 to May 01 through the Department of Livestock Services (DLS)’s mobile selling centres.
A report regarding the matter was sent to the DLS control room on Friday, according to a statement issued by the ministry.
Earlier, the ministry took measures after the farmers across the country faced problems and incurred losses due to the COVID-19 crisis.
Besides, it asked its officials to extend their support for the smooth supply and marketing of poultry items.
