The ongoing mild heat wave is likely to continue in four districts of the country, said a Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) bulletin valid for 24 hours commencing at 9:00 am today (Thursday).
"Mild heat wave is sweeping over Cumilla, Chandpur, Jashore, and Satkhira and it may continue," said the bulletin.
Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind is likely to occur at a few places over Rangpur, Khulna, Barishal, Chattogram and Sylhet divisions and at one or two places over Rajshahi, Dhaka and Mymensingh divisions with moderately heavy falls at places over the country, reports BSS citing the release.
However, the day and night temperatures may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
The country's maximum temperature on Wednesday was recorded 36.2 degrees Celsius jointly at Cumilla and Chandpur while the minimum temperature today was 24.5 degrees Celsius at Khepupara.
The highest rainfall in the last 24 hours till 6:00 am today was recorded at 60mm at Khulna.
