The ongoing mild heat wave is likely to continue in the regions of Rajshahi, Pabna, Dinajpur and Jashore districts of the country, a Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) release said on Monday (today), BSS reports.
Mild heat wave is sweeping over the regions of Rajshahi, Pabna, Dinajpur and Jashore and it may continue, said the weather bulletin issued for the next 24 hours commencing at 9am today.
Rain or thundershowers with intense lightning flashes accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind is likely to occur at a few places over Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions and at one or two places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka, Chattogram divisions with hails at isolated places, it added.
Weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country. However, the day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
Country's maximum temperature on Sunday was recorded 37.5 degrees Celsius at Rajshahi and today's minimum temperature was 19.3 degrees Celsius at Sylhet.
The highest rainfall in the last 24 hours as of 6 am today was recorded 50 millimetres (mm) at Sylhet.
