The ongoing mild heat wave is likely to continue in seven districts of the country, said a Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) bulletin valid for 24 hours commencing at 9:00 am today (Wednesday).
"Mild heat wave is sweeping over Dhaka, Pabna, Sirajganj, Khulna, Jashore, Chuadanga, and Barishal and it may continue," said the bulletin.
Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind is likely to occur at most places over Rangpur division; at many places over Rajshahi, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions and at one or two places over Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal and Chattogram divisions with moderately heavy to heavy falls at some places over northern part of the country, it added.
However, the day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country, reports BSS.
Country's maximum temperature on Tuesday was recorded 36.5 degrees Celsius at Chuadanga while the minimum temperature today was 22.5 degrees Celsius at Rajarhat.
The highest rainfall in the last 24 hours till 6am today was recorded 78 mm at Sylhet.
