The Dhaka metro rail will make stoppage at Pallabi station from January 25, which is currently operating in the Uttara-Agargaon route after being launched on December 29 last year.
Managing director of Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL) MAN Siddique disclosed this at the company office today (Monday) after reviewing the MRT 6 operation of the first 10 days.
He said around 90,000 passengers availed of the MRT since its inauguration on December 29 and till January 8. Income from tickets is around tk 8.8 million.
The trains will run from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm from January 25, he said.
The collapsible gate of the stations will be opened at 8:00 am and will be closed at 12:00 pm from the mentioned date.
Currently, the trains take 10 minutes and 10 seconds to travel from Uttara North to Agargaon. The metro rail fare has been set at Tk 5 per kilometre.
