Several places, including Dhaka, are likely to witness rain commencing from 9:00am in the next 24 hours, the Met Office said in a forecast.
Rain/thunder showers, accompanied by temporary gusty/squally wind, is likely to occur at few places over Rangpur, Mymensingh and Sylhet divisions and at one or two places over Rajshahi, Dhaka and Chattogram divisions, the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) said in the forecast on Friday.
Rajarhat recorded the highest rainfall of 28 millimetre (mm) on Thursday while Rajshahi reported the highest 36 degree Celius, the bulletin stated.
In its outlook for the next 72-hour, it forecast a little change.
Weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country, it said.
Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country, as per the bulletin.
Trough of westerly low lies over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and adjoining area, it said, adding that seasonal low lies over South Bay.
