A light to moderate rain/thundershowers, accompanied by a temporary gusty wind, is likely to occur at some places in most parts of the country including Dhaka in the next 24 hours beginning from Thursday morning, according to a met office bulletin.
Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) also in the bulletin said moderate to thick fog may occur at places over the north-western part and river basins of the country while light to moderate fog may occur at places elsewhere over the country during midnight to morning.
The country’s lowest temperature, 10.2 degree Celsius, was recorded in Sayedpur on Thursday while Dhaka was reported for the lowest temperature, 16.8 degree Celsius, as per the forecast.
Night temperature may fall by (1-2)°C over the North-western part and it may fall slightly elsewhere over the country, it said, adding that day temperature may fall by (2-3)°C over the country.
Trough of westerly low lies over West Bengal and adjoining area, it said, adding that seasonal low lies over South Bay.
However, in its outlook for the next 72-hour, it said weather conditions may improve while night temperature may fall further.
