Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has issued warning signal number one for river ports of 18 districts in the country.
The warning has been issued for Rangpur, Rajshahi, Pabna, Bogura, Tangail, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Faridpur, Jashore, Kushtia, Khulna, Barishal, Patuakhali, Noakhali, Cumilla, Chattogram, Cox's bazar and Sylhet, according to a BMD massage released on Monday morning.
The BMD said rain or thundershowers accompanied with temporary West or North-Westerly gusty or squally wind speed 45-60 kph is likely to occur in many places over the country in the next 12 hours commencing 6:00pm today, reports UNB.
