Authorities of Max Hospital in Chattogram do not have approval from the Directorate of Health Services (DGHS) and Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council(BMDC).
Health Services director for hospitals and clinics Kazi Jahangir Hossain made the remarks on Sunday night, reports UNB.
"Various irregularities have been identified in primary investigation. The Max hospital authorities are running the hospital without permission from the DGHS and BMDC, he said.
The health official was talking with the reporters at Chattogram Press Club over death of minor girl Raifa Khan, 3,reportedly due to wrong treatment at the hospital.
"Steps will be taken soon in this regard," he said.
Earlier, three Health Ministry officials -Kazi Jahangir Hossain, Sheikh Monjurul Rahman and Maksudul Rahman came to Max Hospital around 9pm for investigating the death of Raifa.
The team sat in a meeting with the Max hospital authority and journalist leaders at the conference room of the hospital.
The journalist leaders alleged that BMA leaders and the hospital authority tried to obstruct the investigation and misbehaved with them in front of the government officials who came to investigate the incident.
Protesting their misconduct, the journalist leaders boycotted the meeting and staged demonstrations in front of the hospital for one and a half hours.
Later, the probe committee sat in the meeting with journalists at the Press Club.
Raifa Khan, 3, daughter of Rubel Khan, staff reporter of Bengali Daily Samakal, died reportedly due to wrong treatment at the private hospital in the port city early Friday.
