Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Friday said historic March 7 speech of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman is now a model for all countries.
The Prime Minister made the remarks in her speech at a seminar referring to the recognition of the speech as a world documentary heritage by UNESCO.
Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Memorial Trust Fund arranged the seminar titled 'Historic 7th March Speech and Bangabandhu's Political Wisdom' at Bangladesh Krishibid Institution Auditorium on Friday.
"It's a source of inspiration for all people who are struggling for freedom," Hasina said.
The Prime Minister said this speech is quite different from that of other great leaders of the world.
Bangabandhu gave directives for what was necessary for liberating the country in the speech, Hasina said.
"It's incomparable...it's our invaluable treasure," she said.
The speech was a full guideline for the Liberation War, and freedom fighters drew inspiration by listening to it during the nine months of war, she said.
The eldest daughter of Bangabandhu said the speech had completely been prohibited for 21 years after 1975.
According to UNB, the Prime Minister said a generation heard distorted and fabricated history during the period.
On October 30 last, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (Unesco) recognised the Bangabandhu's historic March 7 speech as a world documentary heritage.
