Man killed in Jurain train accident

An unidentified man, aged about 44, was killed in a train accident in the capital’s Jurain Railgate area on Sunday morning.

Quoting eyewitnesses, police said a Dhaka-bound train from Narayanganj hit the man around 10:30am while he was crossing the railway tracks, leaving him critically injured.

Local people rushed him to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH), where the on-duty doctors declared him dead, said Inspector Bachchu Mia, in-charge of the DMCH police outpost.

Police sources said the body has been kept at DMCH morgue for post-mortem.

The process of filling a case is underway, reports UNB.
